An Easter Message

“We are an Easter people and Alleluia is our song!”
– Pope John Paul II

Dear Friends,

The arrival of Easter represents an opportunity to reflect on peace, hope, and renewal in our lives – the renewal of spirit that we encounter during the Lenten season, and the peace that accompanies the hopeful promise of Easter.

Whatever challenges you may be facing, please remember that there is always the light of hope inspired by Easter. We are reminded of this each day by the resilience of our clients in the face of adversity, as well as by the dedication, compassion, and kindness of our Catholic Charities employees, donors, board members and volunteers.

As we enter the contemplative hours of Good Friday and await with joyful anticipation the coming of Easter Sunday, I pray that you and your loved ones find many opportunities for peace, hope, and renewal in your lives.

Thank you for your ongoing support of Catholic Charities San Francisco, and for helping us to spread the light of hope.

With appreciation,

Ellen Hammerle, Ph.D.
Chief Executive Officer
Catholic Charities CYO of The Archdiocese of San Francisco
