Carmelita Women's Home

Carmelita Women's Home

Providing a safe, supportive home to eight women in collaboration with the Marin County Department of Health and Human Services.

The Carmelita Women’s Home affords the residents an opportunity for personal growth and is aligned with our Catholic Charities mission of service, care, and compassion.

Our newest program, Carmelita Women’s Home centered around the treatment of trauma through holistic healing experiences for our clients. Our philosophy and approach to their healing are to seek to balance the body, mind, emotions, and spirit through utilizing modalities such as yoga and meditation, therapy, nutrition/cooking, gardening, and so much more. The approach includes a focus on understanding the widespread impact of trauma, learning to manage the subsequent maladaptive reactions and behaviors, and collective healing. Creating safety and building community are key bedrocks for the Carmelita Women’s Home.

The Carmelita Women’s Home affords the residents an opportunity for personal growth and is aligned with our Catholic Charities mission of service, care, and compassion.

Together, we

prevent homelessness. uplift youth. care for seniors. serve immigrants.
