Spring Projects

Encouragement Cards

Help design an encouragement card with a thoughtful message for our clients!

Our clients encounter many obstacles on their path to improving their lives and their families’ lives. Giving our clients encouragement cards demonstrates our support for making our community better. Encouraging words often focus on a person’s strengths and accomplishments, rather than their shortcomings or weaknesses.

Make someone’s day brighter with a greeting card.

Guidelines

  • Sign using your first name only
  • Cards in a variety of languages are appreciated! Both English and Spanish are widely distributed.
  • Hand-made drawings are great

Gardening Project

Come join us for a little weeding, planting, and lots of camaraderie. Let’s plant seeds of kindness and help beautify our program gardens at Catholic Charities.

Individual Volunteering

Catholic Charities welcomes group volunteers both as individuals or in teams.

San Mateo

Donation Drives

Homelessness Prevention Programs strive to ensure vulnerable people have a home, either in the form of temporary shelter or long-term housing.

Gift cards are accepted in place of donated items or pick one or more from the list of needs to collect. (Please note we kindly ask that all items are new.)  Contact your family, coworkers, small group members, to let them know you are collecting items for Catholic Charities. Once the items are collected get all of the donated items, in backpacks or tote bags.
