There is nothing more empowering than having someone who believes in you. Who believes that you are worthy. That you should dream big because your future is bright and full of possibility.

This is the message we offer to every individual that Catholic Charities serves – no matter what challenges you have faced, there is always hope for tomorrow. Will you support this work today?

One example is our St. Vincent’s TAY Bridge Program. Prior to entering our transitional housing program, these 18-24 year old Transitional Age Youth (TAY) had experienced homelessness. With the help of Catholic Charities, they are striving to build the lives they dream of.

When individuals enter the St. Vincent’s TAY Bridge Program, they are assigned a mentor to help develop a unique, individual service plan with clearly stated goals.

Over the course of a year, mentors help clients achieve these goals, and build skills for independent living. Goals can include paying off debt, attending school, or maintaining a job.

When Frankie arrived at the TAY Bridge program, he had substantial debt holding him back, no form of transportation to get to work, and was in a situation that desperately needed support.

Now, after less than one year at TAY Bridge, Frankie has graduated from the program, paid off his debt, and even purchased a car to help get to and from work.

Most importantly, he is living independently, and has built the skills and confidence to chase the life he always dreamed of.
