Boys’ and Girls’ Homes

The Boys’ and Girls’ Homes consist of two group homes located in San Francisco. Both are community programs, licensed by the Department of Social Services to serve high-risk children and adolescents experiencing serious emotional, family, social, and educational problems. Ranging in ages from 13-17, these young clients are usually here for a short-term stay, typically no longer than 18 months.

The girls residential treatment program is a long-term program that specializes in the rehabilitation of sexually and physically abused girls who require placement in a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week therapeutic program.

While here, our residents can take advantage of individual and group therapy, family counseling with parents or siblings, and employment training and placement. In partnership with the San Francisco Unified School District, we offer residents education through a special, fully-accredited high school. Most youth return to an appropriate, court-appointed family member after staying with us.

In addition, the program is designed to work with children with other emotional issues beyond abuse. Professional treatment services consist of:

• Psychotherapy
• Counseling
• Family therapy
• Medical referrals
• Age appropriate recreational and vocational activities
• Involvement in community programs
