Description:

10th and Mission Family Housing offers affordable housing, family support services and wrap-around style of case management to low-income families providing a powerful combination of affordable housing, accessible childcare, case management and family support services delivered at a single site. In addition, to community building events and activities, the program provides a weekly food pantry distribution.
We are seeking the support of ongoing volunteers to assist with the program’s weekly food distribution to families and seniors. Food is delivered through a partnership with the SF Food Bank in collaboration with Catholic Charities. Volunteer duties include:
• Support staff in receiving food delivered at the center from the SF Food Bank
• Organize and sort food items
• Evenly distribute food items into 120 designated tote bags
• Distribute tote bags to families and seniors and assist clients as necessary
• Help clean-up

Shift: 11:00 am – 2:30 pm
