The key mission of Immigration Services is to assist clients in achieving not just legal status and economic self-sufficiency, but in becoming fully active participants in the social and civic life of our communities.

We help immigrants understand the immigration law and to know their rights under the law. Our program is designed to advise and guide clients through the immigration process in an efficient, effective and professionally caring manner.

Our staff members live out values of charity and justice by welcoming newcomers and providing free or low-cost legal and support services to immigrants in San Francisco, Marin and San Mateo Counties. We aim to build good citizens through advocacy, education, legal immigration services, case management, and civic engagement.

• Assisting undocumented battered immigrant women and children gain legal status
• Providing advice and counsel on immigration legal matters

Our agency is recognized by the Board of Immigration Appeals and our staff members are accredited to provide a broad range of immigration counseling and representation to immigrants and their families.

Unaccompanied Minor Refugees

Catholic Charities Immigration Services has been welcoming newcomers with dignity, respect, and professionalism for more than 35 years.

Since October 2015, more than 20,000 unaccompanied minors have flocked to U.S. southern borders seeking refuge.

Over the past thirty months, Catholic Charities Immigration Services served more than 100 of these minor refugees, most of whom have visited our offices in San Francisco and San Mateo seeking guidance and legal assistance during our weekly workshops.
